The TLCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to bring post-incubation biotechnology and life-sciences companies to Georgetown, Texas and the Greater Austin region in order to enhance educational opportunities and further community development. It was founded by grants and support from the City of Georgetown, Southwestern University, the Georgetown Independent School District, and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. A donor partner has provided the initial space for the TLCC in a new 15,000sf Class I commercial building with a common usage, fully equipped wet lab, nanotechnology clean room, and a planned dual-use teaching laboratory. The TLCC biotech complex will accommodate additional 15,000sf expansion buildings as well as larger stand-alone medical device and manufacturing facilities. These facilities will serve as hands-on classrooms for high school and higher education faculty and students.
TLCC is a Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute member organization providing access to THBI and BIO industry association services and support. TLCC has infrastructure in place for reception, conference, security, banking, and legal support services.
